Oh me oh my extraordinary THAI!

We were so excited because we had heard there was a great Thai restaurant in Osan!  We went there for dinner on Saturday and it was fabulous!  I had Tom Ka Gai and Green Curry and Ryan had a spicy noodle dish.  Yummy!

The waitress even held Cormac while we ate and then the Chefs carried our stroller down the stairs for us!

It was freezing there so Cormac was bundled up in his new snowsuit from Grandma Fowler

Our trip to Osan!

Cormac in his new favorite outfit from Christine, Tom and Ella

We had a great weekend in Osan, which is a four hour drive from here.  Some of you may remember our brief stint there last December that resulted in the “$120 tacos”…

The bus ride there was smooth and Cormac was amazing during it.  He usually balks at having to get in his carseat for any length of time, but he only fussed a total of about 5 minutes on the way there.  He slept horribly though and kept us up all night both nights.  Fortunately we were able to feed our caffine addiction with Starbucks.  Yippee!

I want my babyback babyback babyback… CHILI’S babyback ribs…

We ate at Chili’s TWICE while we were there.  While we may not have gotten overly excited about eating Chili’s in the States, we were thrilled that we even had that option while we were here.  It was delectable!  Devine!   We ate till we couldn’t see straight and it was wonderful!

Ryan was able to buy the new computer that he’s been longing for.  He got a 24″ iMac for those of you who are techie people.  He will also finally be able to finish Cormac’s birth video so you can be expecting that soon.  (His excuse was that his other computer didn’t have enough memory to complete it).

Another post to follow.

Cormac is FIVE months old!

Wow!  Time does fly when you are having fun!  He’s getting so big!  He’s rolling over all of the time, giggling, playing in his exersaucer and almost sitting up.  He’s such a cool little dude!

WVU game replay

Ryan was too nervous to have a party the first time they played, so we decided to watch the game that Andy had recorded for J.D.  I made pulled pork sandwiches with coleslaw and had other “football food”.

Cormac Rolled Over!

We’ve been trying to stay relaxed about him reaching new milestones and just letting them happen.  After weeks of practicing and rolling to his side, he finally rolled over tonight.  It was great.  He was enjoying “naked rolling time” before his bath and Ryan and I both got to see it.  Our little guy is growing up!  He’ll be 5 months tomorrow!

Apparently The Videos Were A Hit

Back by popular demand with more to come on all aspects of our lives in Korea, here are more videos of our favorite and most photogenic subject–Cormac.  The first video he is laughing at some of his favorite funny sounds–normally his mother and father make them for real after dinner.

This video shows how active he is getting in his exersaucer (is that a real word??).  He changes so much just in one day.  Yesterday he wasn’t doing this much.  I am sure by next week we will have video of him turning over or sitting up.  He is so fun to be around.  Wish you all could be here to enjoy it as well.  I have had off most of the last 2-3 weeks so I have gotten to see him a bunch.

On a different note the WVU football team kicked some bootie today, GO MOUNTAINEERS!!!!  Can’t wait to get to a game next year when I get back to the states.–Ryan

Gluttony is a sin…

which is easy ignored when eating Swedish Pancakes…  Some of you have tasted my mom’s excellent Swedish Pancakes that can be described as being very similar to Crepes.  (They are NOT crepes my mom’s voice echos from Ohio, they are VERY DIFFERENT from crepes.)

I finally made them tonight for dinner since Ryan has been begging me to make them for weeks.

Ryan ate FOUR of them and I ate FIVE, yes FIVE!  I figure that at least one of them would be going straight to Cormac so I should induldge.

Thank you dad for giving me the recipe!  They were wonderful!
