We had such a great weekend with our friends from Taegu!  Dave, the Doc there, his wife Julie and their children Ella, Caleb and Maija stopped by here on their way out of town yesterday. We had gone to dinner with them on Friday and had a blast celebrating Ella’s birthday.  They are such amazing kids!

It’s amazing how a chance meeting in a parking lot can lead to such wonderful friendships!  We were lucky enough to have four families down to visit us from Taegu this weekend.  It was so much fun having 3 boys around the same age together.  Cormac is almost 8 months, Colin is almost a year old and Jimmy is 14 months.  So SWEET!  It also reminded us that we need to start baby-proofing SOON!

Can I have a hug man?

Sure!  I’ll give you a big hug!

You could almost tell that Jimmy was telling Cormac, “this is how you play it, just wait a few more months and you will be able to do as many cool things as I can”. 

We had a BBQ this evening and are planning a big group hike tomorrow.

It’s finally spring here in Korea and the weather has been perfect- mid to high 60’s and sunny!  The Cherry Blossoms will be out soon too!

We had a great weekend starting with dinner at a friend’s house on Friday. 

Saturday morning we ran in a 5k on base.  Cormac finished 6th overall just edging out Ryan (in his jogging stroller- of course) and we had a great time running it! 

Then Saturday afternoon the Seabees had their Birthday picnic.  There was a roasted pig and all sorts of delicious food!

Then Saturday night, we got a baby sitter and went out on a date for Sushi and ice cream! 

Sunday morning we went to church and now we are just relaxing.  What a wonderful weekend! 

Can you believe it?!  Our little man is already SEVEN months old!  Crazy!  He’s sitting up really well, giggling and starting to babble.  I think he actually said, “yummy” earlier when I was feeding him squash.  Okay, maybe not “yummy” but it sounded something like that…

People always ask how Duke is adjusting and so far he doesn’t seem to be too bothered by Cormac.  Just recently Cormac started reaching out to try to pet him and today he was finally able to.  I cringe a bit at the thought of Cormac petting him and then putting his hands in his mouth, but I guess it will strengthen his immune system, right?

We ended up getting to see Jason again on Friday when he came to visit us.  We went out for Korean food, walked around town and he stayed overnight.  We took him back to Pusan this morning and we got to tour the ship which was absolutely amazing!  It’s crazy to imagine living aboard a floating city.  He’s doing such a great job and having a once in a lifetime experience.  We were thrilled to get to catch up with him.
