Trish and Nora’s visit

We had such a wonderful time having them as houseguests and we think they had a great time too.  If you haven’t already read it, you can see their perspective on their blog.  The link is located on the right side of our blog located under Blog Roll.  We miss them already!

Trish and Nora were SO helpful while they were here.  They cooked several times and Trish even created artwork for Cormac’s room and hung curtains!  She was quite handy!

Yesterday for lunch I said, ”I want pancakes, Nora, can you make us pancakes?”…  This was a resounding them while they were here.

We are looking forward to having my mom and dad and Ryan’s mom and dad come when the baby is born!  If anyone else wants to visit, you are more than welcome!

From Trish and Nora’s blog, you will see, in Korea you will be treated like a celebrity…

We got to see Trayers!

One of Ryan’s best friends from Pendleton was in the area recently! We were hoping to see Fred prior to our trip to the States, but when that didn’t work out we were bummed. Then it just so happened that he had some extra time and he was back in the area. We drove to Pusan about 45 minutes away, (which was the first time we’ve driven there by ourselves). We had dinner at a GREAT chicken place that “had pictures”… Ryan and I used our “restaurant language” and got by pretty well.

I LOVE Trader Joe’s! Thank you wonderful Rolfe Family!

I was thrilled to receive this care package. Kristi and the family sent me a really sweet card and a few of my favorite foods from Trader Joe’s. I’ve already eaten some of the Pirate’s Booty. Yummy!

What we’ve been up to

This weekend we had a Christmas Tree lighting on base with free dinner afterward and then on Saturday, Kim hosted Andrea’s 40th Birthday Party.

The girls love Doc Ryan- Sydney, Lillian, Dana and Bailey

Everything is going really well here. Ryan’s office hours are almost nil for the next three weeks and he’s enjoying the time relaxing.

Kim’s Surprise Party- last Saturday

I wanted to throw a surprise party for my friend Kim and it turned out wonderfully.  It was a great excuse for us to have a party too.  I planned it with Curtis, Kim’s husband.  They went to dinner and the plan was to have them come pick us up afterward and that we would go out for a little while.  Before they arrived we were all trying to figure out where and how we would hide.  It was hilarious!  People were hiding under the table and in our office.  When she walked in I wasn’t sure what to do.  I was holding my camera in my hand trying to talk to her and motioning for everyone to come out of hiding.  It was great!  Almost everyone that was invited showed up and she was definitely surprised.

On a completely different note, did anyone notice how dark my hair is getting?!  I *may* let it get darker while we are here, which is partially due to the fact that I’m not sure if I will be able to find a place to get it done.

I wanted to post some pictures of our friends here (and their adorable children).  Some of you have already seen pictures of Dana- Ella’s daughter.  Here is a picture of her sister Lilian.  Are they not just precious!?

And Baby Dana- plus I just love this picture and the lighting
